Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 2026This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones MathsWatch uses, and how you can control them.
02 How We Use Cookies
MathsWatch uses cookies sparingly and only where they genuinely improve your experience — for example, remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode, or keeping track of your progress through a quiz within a single session. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites.
03 Types of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Required for core site functionality, such as remembering menu state during your visit. | Session |
| Preference | Remembers interface choices such as light/dark theme. | Up to 12 months |
| Functional | Keeps track of in-progress quiz answers and score within a session. | Session |
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly, along with any consent mechanism required by law.
04 Third-Party Cookies
Some elements of the Service, such as web fonts loaded from Google Fonts, may result in requests to third-party servers. These providers may set their own cookies in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, which are outside our control. We recommend reviewing the relevant third party's policy directly for details.
05 Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. Since the process varies by browser, you may find the following general guidance helpful:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Please note that blocking strictly necessary or functional cookies may affect how well certain features of MathsWatch — such as theme preference or quiz progress — work during your visit.
06 Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, MathsWatch does not currently alter its behaviour in response to them — though, as noted above, we already avoid advertising and cross-site tracking cookies by default.
07 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal and regulatory reasons. Please revisit this page occasionally to stay informed.
